A short page covering the things a reader is entitled to know before trusting anything else here.
About this guide
North London Venue Guide About this guide
What this is
An independent guide to hiring event space across north London: Haringey, Islington, Hackney, Camden and Barnet. It covers licensing, hire terms, capacity, access and cost structures, and it is written for people organising one event rather than for the trade.
What it is not
It is not a directory and it does not list venues. There is no paid placement, no sponsored entry and no arrangement of any kind under which a venue appears or does not appear.
We publish no capacities, no prices and no venue specifications. Those figures change, they vary by layout and by season, and republishing them stale would mislead more than it helped. Where a specific venue matters, we say to go to its own site and ask directly, which is also the only reliable answer.
Sources
The legal and regulatory material here cites primary sources, and every source we link has been checked as live rather than assumed. Where we describe how something works in practice, that is a summary of general practice and not advice about your booking.
That distinction matters. Licensing, planning, fire safety and equality duties are all fact-specific, and the answer for a particular building in a particular borough on a particular date can differ from anything written here. For anything that turns on money or on legal exposure, ask the venue for the document and, if it is significant, take proper advice.
Corrections
If something on this site is wrong, out of date, or has stopped being true because a rule changed, we would rather know. Write to hello@earlhaighall.com. Corrections are made in place and the review date on each page is updated when the page is genuinely revisited, not on a schedule.
About this domain
This address was previously used by an events venue in the area, which closed several years ago. The domain later became available and is now used for this guide.
This guide has no connection to that former business, does not represent it, is not a continuation of it, and does not trade under its name. If you have arrived here from an old link, listing or article expecting that venue, it is no longer operating and this site cannot help you contact it.
We mention this because it is the honest thing to do with a domain that has a history, and because anyone following an old link deserves a straight answer rather than a page that quietly implies something else.
Editorial independence
Nobody pays to be mentioned here, and nothing on this site is written in exchange for anything. Where we eventually reference tools, suppliers or services because they are genuinely relevant to a reader, that will be stated plainly on the page it appears on.
Author
Published by North London Venue Guide as an organisation rather than under an individual byline. We do not attach invented human signatures to editorial pages.
